Comment on Jan 11th Regarding 55+ Apt Development at 6726 Greenwood

On Monday January 11th at 6:30 p.m. there will be a second, city design-review meeting for the proposed redevelopment at 68th and Greenwood. It is a chance to give public comment on the building’s design based on The Greenwood/Phinney Design Guidelines. The meeting is at Ballard Community Center/Sunset Ballard Captain Room,  6020 28th Ave NW at  6:30 p.m. If you want to deliver your comment in person, go early to sign up as the number of people who can comment it limited. The current plan is a four-story building, with at least 55 studio apartments of approximately 300 square feet each, perhaps some live/work spaces and no parking. City law does not require parking for the building and that cannot be changed by the design review process.

Updated plans for the building, based on previous citizen and NW Design Review Board input, were posted on January 4th.  You can access the plans and other information:
